This weekend the Texas Longhorns will battle against the 9th ranked Connecticut Huskies. After dropping two games recently in opposition to 6th ranked Pittsburgh and 15th ranked Notre Dame, UCONN will be trying to turn things around. After winning 6 games in a row, including a victory over 12th ranked Michigan State, Texas is ranked 12th in the nation.

After suffering two defeats against top 25 teams, some people may question whether or not the Huskies can hang with top level competition like the Longhorns. As the Huskies have already defeated two top 10 teams this season and those losses are their first two of the season, this perhaps will not be a huge concern to them.

Including a loss over Pittsburgh, who recently beat Connecticut, the Longhorns have lost 2 games this season as well. The fact which leads the way for their respective teams is that both have a feature scorer. If the game comes down to the production of star players, the Huskies certainly have the edge.

Shutting down Walker will be the solution for the Longhorns. For the team, the next best scorer is at 10.5 points per game. The Longhorns will have a great shot at taking this game from the Huskies, if they can force other people to step up.
